This scene from the movie "Frances" shows actress Francis Farmer (played by Jessica Lang) getting a Lobotomy. The real-life surgeon that actually performed such lobotomies was named Walter Freeman. The fact that he actually performed a lobotomy on Francis Farmer, as shown in the movie, may really be just an urban legend.
